[ His old apartment is now too big, too empty and garish and morose without Verity sharing Loki's home. She practically lived in the fancy flat half the time to account for the space, but now there are memories in place of his BFF herself and Loki stands up one evening, hands on hips, to glare at everything accusingly, conscious of his antsy bad mood. So he switches it up, right then and there. He moves to the northern district of the city and sets up in a smaller place, selling off the other for a tidy price online. What he ends up with is a little nicer than what he had in Manhattan but nothing even half so lavish as what he leaves behind from his initial stay in Eudio.
That's okay. Change is good. He breathes easier.
After spending an entire evening getting everything straightened out, he texts the only other two people who come around and might want to know why he's pulled a vanishing act: Owen and Billy. Owen because Loki finds himself wanting the older man to drop by, one of the exceedingly few friendships (if it can be called that) forged in this weird dimension that he's reluctant to discard, and Billy because the mage will dole out deets to the rest of the YA with a measure of tact. Hopefully. Loki certainly isn't hot-lining his location to America.
The short message issued to both comes with a series of snapsnots and his address. ]
Moved house! 8-O Warding is up but you (specifically) will still be able to enter.
Got bored, had a change of heart when it came to parquet flooring.
[ And the money from the sale will substitute Verity's stash that he spent on Hook's new ship. The downsizing of his retreat doesn't bother him, it's actually turning out to be refreshing. More like Manhattan. ]
Tell Teddy I need to work him into the warding too, since I suppose you come as a pair (even when you're not! I know, I KNOW).
I'm not going to go into paroxysms of distress just from seeing your grubby old toothbrush around. Verity broke me in, you can thank her the next time she's here. Whatever aids you in feeling comfortable. You've never stayed over, anyway. Not really.
[ He's suddenly aware of how little there is to do in his apartment beyond gaming, cooking, messing around on his laptop to play with several totally-not-there bank accounts and ... sleep. Maybe they could have a film bonanza. Actors fix everything. ]
[Billy's... sort of looking forward to this. Nothing like hanging out and watching movies with friends, right? And just getting to hang out with Loki sounds nice.]
